In April 2022, Pågen came to us to host a summer competition. The goal was for their audience to engage with their brand and be able to win an inflatable boat, and then later also a bag which I ended up designing a pattern for.
I was given the design they had planned for the inflatable boat, and that’s what we had to go from. The idea we put together was the inflatable boat floating peacefully in the Swedish archipelago and catching Hönökakor.
The process started with creating the background, where the lighthouse was very important. Then I adapted the inflatable boat design to a functional game asset from a different angle. Some back and forth with the client, then we hit our finished result.
After we finished the game, we were tasked to design a pattern for a bag they wanted to use in the competition as well. We started from the game design and easily ended up with our finished design. IT was then implemented on the bag and distributed on social media.
